We’re excited to be offering our 40 minute Junior Band after school programs for musicians in Year 1 – 3 at select locations including:

Woodend Primary School (Wednesdays 3:45pm-4:25pm tbc)

The Junior Band program is aimed at musicians in Years 1 to 3 who have graduated from Discovery Club (Foundation to Year 1).  The ensemble is a perfect bridge for those interested in moving from play-based activities to a more formal band rehearsal.

Junior Band is open to all musicians, but we suggest that some prior knowledge or involvement in one of our Launchpad or Individual lesson programs (or another outside provider) will be of assistance.

The band programs are supportive environments, but are about musicians playing together rather than supporting you to learn a new instrument.  That being said, many musicians have found a new instrument they love and pursue after being involved in band and we will fully support that process!

• For musicians already learning an instrument (in our programs or outside the RMN!)
• A great way to consolidate your skills by sharing, communicating and working together in the language of music.
• Learn about how to work in an ensemble including listening and responding to others and creating music as one voice.
• More hours on your instrument and ‘speaking’ the language of music means you’re closer and closer to your 10,000 hour goal!
• Band rehearsals are open to any students — not just those from the location school.

2024 Junior Band Fees:

INCLUDES 8 x 40 min rehearsals per Term | 1 : 6 Ratios

New Member / Not enroled in one of our other programs  – $292 per Term

Enroled in a Launchpad or Individual Program (Save 20%) – $232 per Term
