Group Harp [Woodend Primary]

Session Details:

This is a fun and exciting introduction to the world of Harp. Learners will explore custom, hand-made Harps designed and built right here in Woodend! These instruments have been specifically made to create an entry point into an instrument that, otherwise has a high entry cost. Learn the basics of Harp technique, enjoy traditional and contemporary pieces and develop your musicianship in this small ensemble format lesson.

This unique program is the brainchild of Harpist Dr. Frances Thiele. A musician, historian and music educator -- Fran is excited to welcome students to the world of Harp. Her custom, hand-made beginner harps are exclusive to this program and will create an exciting entry point for students to experience the joy of playing Harp. After catching the bug students may choose to move to a Lever Harp and further studies with Fran.
