It was those gnarly sounds that came out of the 60’s, laced together by Wendy Carlos’ Switched On Bach in ’68 that started turning heads. In the 70’s and 80’s everyone from Kraftwerk to Vangelis to Stevie Wonder were in on the game. Add in the great Drum Machines, new sequencers and a myriad of keyboards and the scene was set for a new genre — Electronic Music.
Now Electronic Music is a broad and wide ranging a genre as Rock, Pop or Classical. There are so many offshoots of Electronic Music — subgenres that appeal to every taste in the musical spectrum (just check out the red Super Genre section at musicmap.info).
Ranges Music Network aims to open the doors to Electronic Music creation for beginners and support more experienced Composers with the production skills and techniques to make their tracks really pop. We’ll be offering regular Individual and Group lesson programs in Schools and offering Workshops, Events and Tutorials for the Community.
